Description

Seen on 1947 RAF air photograph, anti-tank defences visible at Grid reference NU 22553130 blocking Annstead Burn Stream appear to be anti-tank cylinders. These may be part of beach defence. Possible demolished pillbox in the general vicinity. To the S of Seahouses, there are a variety of platforms and possibly Seagull Trenches. Inland at NU 21703210, a cylindrical tower is visible (possibly an observation tower) - this is now under the site of a caravan park.
