A military bunker located near Thyborøn on Denmark's North Sea coast, part of the extensive Atlantic Wall fortifications built by German occupation forces during World War II. This concrete structure, resembling a massive turtle lying on the beach, is one of approximately 7,500 bunkers constructed across Denmark between 1940 and 1945 as part of Hitler's defensive line stretching from Spain to Norway. The Thyborøn area, like much of Denmark's coastline, was heavily fortified to prevent potential Allied invasion, with these bunkers remaining as stark reminders of the five-year German occupation that lasted from April 9, 1940, until May 5, 1945.
