Located near Corsham, Wiltshire, this underground bunker was constructed during the Cold War as a secret emergency relocation site for the British government in the event of nuclear war. Known as the Burlington Bunker, it lies approximately eighty feet below ground beneath RAF Corsham and represents one of the UK's largest underground military installations. The facility was designed to house government operations and maintain essential services during a nuclear crisis, remaining classified for sixty years as one of the Ministry of Defence's best-kept secrets.
