Description

The Greenbrier nuclear bunker is a formerly secret underground facility located near White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, USA. Constructed during the Cold War era, this massive bunker was designed to house the entire U.S. Congress in the event of a nuclear attack on Washington D.C.

The existence of the bunker was kept hidden from the public for over three decades, with the residents of White Sulphur Springs aiding in maintaining its secrecy. The bunker is situated beneath the luxurious Greenbrier resort, which served as a cover for the facility's true purpose.
