Description

A military bunker located in Saint-Malo, France, at coordinates 47.8341608,7.2274281. During the German occupation of France in World War II, this structure housed a Bofors 40 mm anti-aircraft gun. The bunker was destroyed by explosive ordnance planted by US soldiers in 1944, following its disablement by German forces. American troops subsequently raised the US flag at the site, marking a symbolic victory over Axis forces in the region.
