10/1995 A pillbox blown up by the army in the last 20 years. It lay above the beach and against the N facing cliff of Redend Point. Remains of concrete footings can be seen here and other slabs of concrete in the sea and on the beach immediately NE of the site. There are also displayed anti-tank blocks reused as sea defences on this part of the beach. 19/01/2003 The base (or roof) of a pillbox lies on the foreshore - covered by the sea at high tide.
