1999 Type 22 pillbox, shell-proof. 09/02/2000 Pillbox, type 22. In a fenced off enclosure adjacent to Guyers Lock, on the N side of Enborne Bridge. Partly overgrown, especially on the canal side, from which it is hidden from view. The entrance side is completely covered with colourful graffiti (see slide). Internally untidy but otherwise appears structurally sound. POLYGONAL CONCRETE SOUTH FACING PILLBOX LISTED IN WILLS 1985. VISIBLE ON 1969 AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE LOCK.
