KC-30L was a Nike Hercules missile site located near Pleasant Hill, Missouri, as part of the Kansas City Defense Area during the Cold War. This military installation was one of two Nike sites protecting the eastern approaches to Kansas City, operating alongside site KC-10 near Lawson. The Corps of Engineers Kansas City District began construction on these sites in late spring 1958, with KC-30L becoming active in November 1959 as part of the United States Army's air defense network.
