A military bunker located near El Alamein, Egypt, in the region that was the site of a major World War II battle in 1942. The area saw fierce fighting between Allied forces and the Axis powers (German and Italian troops), with the British ultimately pushing back German forces. This coastal desert region of northern Egypt contains numerous remnants from the North African campaign, including fortifications, trenches, and military structures that remain scattered across the landscape.
The harsh desert environment has preserved many of these wartime installations, though they are now largely abandoned and serve as historical markers of the conflict.
