A World War II German artillery bunker located near Grandcamp-Maisy in Normandy, France. This structure was part of the Maisy Battery complex, a secret German military installation constructed as part of the Atlantic Wall coastal fortifications. The battery was strategically positioned to defend the Vire estuary and was situated between Omaha Beach and Utah Beach, two of the five Allied landing sites during the D-Day invasion of June 6, 1945.
