A military bunker located near Heist, Belgium, situated within the coastal dunes of Director-General Willemspark. This structure is part of the extensive network of World War II fortifications built by the German army along the Belgian coast as part of their Atlantic Wall defenses. The bunker was recently excavated as part of the LIFE DUNIAS restoration project led by the Municipality of Knokke-Heist, which aims to preserve and restore historical military structures while rejuvenating the surrounding dune ecosystem.
