A military bunker located on the Cuban coast, associated with the Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962. During this Cold War confrontation, Soviet nuclear-armed missiles were stationed in Cuba, bringing the United States and the Soviet Union to the brink of nuclear war. Recent archaeological research has documented graffiti left by Cuban soldiers in these bunkers, including defiant messages rejecting surrender during the crisis.
