02/11/1999 Concrete block pillbox, built in dunes above Kennack sands beach at the W end. A second pillbox was built about 50 yards to the E (see UORN 3318). The W pillbox was blown up at the end of WW2 but the concrete rubble can still be seen in the dunes, although it is currently (1999) being removed as a danger to holiday makers.
