Anti Tank Vertical Rail

1995 Concrete base approx. 11ft x 8ft, of which approx. 5. 5ft x 8ft is about 2. 5ins higher. 10 x square sockets approx 19ins x 15ins extant. The formation extends SSE from gate of house to edge of road. Once part of E perimeter of the anti-tank defences of the town which extended SSE through gardens from the adjacent railway line N of the site. Welded RSJs were intended for use here. Site of metal posts set in concrete (Surrey Industrial Society record gives Grid reference - TQ 17135011).
