The Bunker Museum Wurzenpass is located near the Wurzenpass in Carinthia, Austria, close to the border with Slovenia. This site was part of Austria's secret Cold War defense network, constructed between 1963 and 2002 as part of the country's neutral military strategy. The complex includes original bunkers, communication trenches, fighting positions, and various obstacles designed to deter potential invasions from NATO or Warsaw Pact forces.
Since 2005, the site has operated as an open-air museum, offering visitors insight into Austria's Cold War military history through preserved fortifications and guided presentations.
