Movik Fort is a historic German coastal fortification located in Norway, originally constructed during World War II. The fort once housed the second largest cannon in the world—a massive Krupp 380mm gun with a range of up to 55 kilometers (35 miles) and weighing 337 tonnes. Built by the German Kriegsmarine during the occupation of Norway, the fort sits in a commanding position above the Skagerrak Straits between Norway and Denmark.
This strategic location made it a key defensive position for controlling maritime traffic in the region.
