A military bunker located near Szczecin in northwestern Poland. The site is part of the network of clandestine Soviet nuclear installations established in Poland during the Cold War. These bases were a closely guarded secret, unknown to the Polish public and local authorities, and formed a critical component of the Soviet Union's forward-deployed nuclear arsenal in Europe.
Archaeological investigations, such as those led by Grzegorz Kiarszys of the University of Szczecin, have confirmed the existence and purpose of these facilities. The structures were designed for the storage and potential deployment of nuclear warheads, representing a significant and hidden layer of the Soviet military occupation of Poland. The concrete bunkers and associated infrastructure remain as stark physical remnants of this period.
