Movik Fort is a historic German coastal fortification located near the Skagerrak Straits in Norway. Originally constructed during World War II by German forces, the fort once housed the second largest cannon in the world—a Krupp 380mm artillery piece with a range of up to 55 kilometers (35 miles) and weighing 337 tonnes. The fort sits in a commanding position overlooking the strategic waterway between Norway and Denmark, reflecting the military importance of the region during the war.
Today, it stands as a significant historical site that offers insight into Norway's wartime past and the extensive military infrastructure built during the German occupation.
