Alpine Wall Bunker

A military bunker located near the Alpine Wall fortifications in northern Italy, part of the extensive defensive system built along Italy's northern frontier before World War II. The Alpine Wall (Vallo Alpino) was constructed under Benito Mussolini's direction to defend against potential threats from France, Switzerland, Austria, and Yugoslavia. This bunker is situated in the mountainous region of northern Italy, where the Alpine Wall's fortifications were strategically positioned to control key passes and valleys. The defensive line was manned by the Guardia alla Frontiera (Ga F), Italy's special frontier troops, and represents an important example of Italian military engineering from the interwar period.
