Fu MG Maultier was a German radar installation located in Austria during World War II. The site was part of Germany's early warning and air defense network, designed to detect Allied aircraft approaching from the south and east. As a mobile radar system, the Maultier ("Mule") was developed to provide flexible coverage for the expanding German radar network.
The installation in Austria would have been strategically positioned to monitor air traffic over the Eastern Front and protect industrial centers in the region.
