A hexagonal pillbox of Type FW3/24, part of the British hardened field defences constructed during the Second World War. These structures were built as part of the British anti-invasion preparations following the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940. The FW3/24 design was one of the standardised pillbox types created by the War Office to provide defensive positions for infantry and light machine guns.
Located in the United Kingdom, this concrete fortification represents the extensive network of defensive structures erected along the British coastline and strategic inland locations during WWII.
