28/05/1996 Type 22 pillbox. 27/05/1997 Concrete type 22 pillbox facing NW A type 22 pillbox at Wey Street Farm. It is still in good condition, and is made of concrete. 29/08/2000 Type FW3/22 pillbox, concrete-faced. (The recorder interviewed the farmer on whose land this pillbox is set.

He remembers it being constructed in 1940 by a local builder - Goddens Ltd. After the pillbox was completed and the concrete was dry, the flat roof was painted with black paint and tar, and wooden poles were placed around the pillbox to make it look like a stack of wood. The surplus earth from the excavation for the foundation slab was removed by wheelbarrows and placed around the field to make it look like it had been ploughed - camouflage).
