Alpine Wall Bunker

A military bunker located in northern Italy, part of the extensive Alpine Wall (Vallo Alpino) defensive system constructed along Italy's northern frontier. This fortification network was built in the years leading up to World War II under the direction of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini to defend against potential threats from France, Switzerland, Austria, and Yugoslavia. The Alpine Wall represented a significant military engineering project of the late 1930s, designed to protect Italy's mountainous borders through a series of bunkers, artillery positions, and defensive structures.
