A military bunker located near the Maginot Line in northeastern France. The Maginot Line was a vast system of fortifications built by France in the 1930s along its eastern border with Germany and Italy. Designed to deter invasion and provide a strong defensive position, these bunkers formed part of a network of underground forts, casemates, and obstacles.
While the Maginot Line did not prevent the German invasion in 1940, many of its structures remain as historical relics of WWII military engineering.
