A military bunker located near Kristiansand, Norway, situated in a commanding position above the Skagerrak Straits between Norway and Denmark. This historic fortification once housed the second largest cannon in the world - a Krupp 380mm artillery piece with a range of up to 55 kilometers (35 miles) and weighing 337 tonnes. The fort was originally constructed during World War II by German forces as part of their Atlantic Wall defensive network.
Today, this Cold War-era military structure represents Norway's extensive network of defensive bunkers that were built due to the country's proximity to the USSR during the Cold War period.
