The Mauerwald Bunker Complex, located near Mamerki in northeastern Poland, was a massive underground military headquarters built by Nazi Germany during World War II. This lakeside complex served as the Supreme Military Command of Nazi Germany (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht) from 1941 to 1944, playing a crucial role in the planning and coordination of German military operations on the Eastern Front. The complex consists of over 200 structures, including reinforced concrete bunkers, command posts, and living quarters, all hidden within dense forest terrain.
Today, the site operates as a museum and historical park, offering visitors a glimpse into the strategic military architecture of the Third Reich.
