The Amiriyah Shelter, also known as Public Shelter No. 25, was an air-raid shelter located in the Amiriyah neighborhood of Baghdad, Iraq. On 13 February 1991, during the Gulf War, the U.S. Air Force destroyed the shelter with two GBU-27 Paveway III laser-guided bombs, killing at least 408 civilians.
The attack has been characterized by Human Rights Watch as a war crime. The shelter was designed to protect civilians during aerial bombardments, but its destruction became one of the most controversial incidents of the Gulf War.
