The Līgatne Soviet Bunker, located near Līgatne in Latvia, is a once-top secret underground facility constructed 9 meters beneath the ground. Built during the Soviet era, this bunker was designed as a shelter for Latvia's Communist elite in the event of a hypothetical nuclear war. The bunker's secrecy was so extensive that for 30 years, employees and clients of the adjacent rehabilitation center remained unaware of its existence.
Today, visitors can explore the authentic exhibits that have survived from Soviet times, offering a unique glimpse into the Cold War period and the military history of Latvia.
