This hexagonal concrete pillbox is a World War II coastal defence structure located near Low Newton-by-the-Sea in Northumberland, England. Part of Britain's extensive network of coastal fortifications built during the war, this pillbox was designed to provide defensive positions for soldiers to repel potential German invasion attempts along the English coastline. The structure features loopholes for firing weapons and was constructed to blend with the natural landscape through camouflage.
