17/09/1996 This is one of a pair of gun positions forming a coastal battery. An engine room building is sited nearby. This was a part-time close-defence battery. This particular gun position was open-fronted, with a roof over at front. The roof has collapsed owing to the rusting of the supporting girders. Built with concrete and concrete blocks. Types of guns installed not known.
