A beehive-style pillbox uncovered by coastal erosion at Low Newton-by-the-Sea in Northumberland, England. This hexagonal concrete defensive structure was part of Britain's extensive network of coastal fortifications built during World War II to defend against potential German invasion. The structure, now partially collapsed and exposed by shifting sand dunes, represents the typical design of British anti-invasion defences from the early 1940s.
