1942 The Hall was briefly used as a Home Guard Headquarters in 1940. In WW1 the Hall was used as an emergency hospital. Ellesmere Library contains photographs of Hall in WW1 and hospital beds. Site was demolished pre 1998 - now has sheltered accommodation on site.
