A military bunker located near Movik, Norway, overlooking the Skagerrak Straits. This site was originally constructed during World War II by German forces as part of their Atlantic Wall defensive fortifications. The bunker complex once housed a massive Krupp 380mm cannon, which was the second largest artillery piece in the world at the time, weighing 337 tonnes with a range of up to 55 kilometers (35 miles).
The fort sits in a commanding position above the strategic waterway between Norway and Denmark, reflecting the importance of coastal defense during both World War II and the subsequent Cold War period when Norway's proximity to the Soviet Union led to the construction of numerous military bunkers.
