The Līgatne Soviet Bunker, located near the town of Līgatne in Latvia, is a former top-secret underground facility constructed during the Cold War era. Built approximately 9 meters beneath the ground, this bunker was designed to serve as a secure shelter for Latvia's Communist Party elite in the event of a nuclear conflict. The site remained classified for decades, with even employees of the adjacent rehabilitation center unaware of its existence for over 30 years.
Today, the bunker has been preserved as a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the Soviet era through its authentic exhibits and historical artifacts.
