Herpolsheimer's Department Store

1 Monroe Ave. Built in 1949. In 1986 Herp's became the anchor for the City Center mall, a concept which would ultimately fail. In the following decade the store was bought out by Lazarus which later was bought out by Macy's and closed around 1992.
