27/07/1999 At waters edge - foundations partly eroded away. Entrance on E side. (Colin Alexanders gazetteer lists it as a type 28a). 19/08/2000 Type 28a anti-tank gun emplacement (sic). Field of fire W towards Midgham - Brimpton road. Brick-shuttered with sloped concrete roof Embrasure surround facing canal is painted white. (with plan drawn on form). RECTANGULAR PILLBOX, CONCRETE WITH BRICK SHUTTERING, WEST FACING. LISTED IN WILLS 1985
