25/09/1996 Pillbox, one of 3 defending the only road entrance to Porthcurno village which housed the Cable and Wireless Telecommunications Establishment. It was situated beside the road and was camouflaged to look like an old wooden shed with a pitched roof. The pillbox was demolished after the war when road widening took place. Type not known, though one of the other pillboxes defending this road survives and is a type 24. 13/05/1946 Pillbox structure plotted from air photograph.
