07/11/1996 Possibly square-shaped pillbox on east bridge. It has been demolished to ground level. Pillbox located on the Eastern bridge. Probably four-sided overlooking the River Test. Measures 10ft by 10ft. 06/05/2001 Foundations of a brick-skinned concrete pillbox of hexagonal plan with walls around 3ft 6ins thick. The walls show traces of expanded steel mesh reinforcement. (Recorder, Armishaw, gives Grid reference - SU 36971361).
