A military bunker located near Havana, Cuba, associated with the former Lourdes SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) facility. This site was the largest signals intelligence installation operated by Soviet and later Russian foreign intelligence services outside of Russia, situated less than 150 km from Key West, Florida. The facility covered approximately 73 km² and construction began in July 1962, during a period of heightened Cold War tensions.
The bunker system is part of a larger network of Cold War-era military installations that dot the Cuban coastline, reflecting Cuba's strategic importance during the 20th century's ideological conflicts.
