Bunker Complex Ungerberg

The Bunker Complex Ungerberg is a Cold War-era military bunker located in Austria. It was part of Austria's secret network of defensive installations constructed during the Cold War to deter potential invasions by NATO or Warsaw Pact forces. The complex features a two-and-a-half-metre-thick concrete encasement, designed to withstand prolonged attacks. Inside, it housed essential facilities such as a telephone exchange, a medical room, and even a niche for coffins, reflecting its role as a fully self-sufficient defensive position.
