The Bunker Museum Wurzenpass is Austria's largest defence network complex, located at the Carinthian Wurzenpass near the Slovenian border. Built between 1963 and 2002 as part of Austria's secret Cold War fortifications, this extensive bunker system was designed to protect the neutral Alpine republic from potential NATO or Warsaw Pact incursions. Since 2005, the former top-secret military installation has operated as an open-air museum, offering visitors a unique glimpse into Austria's Cold War military history.
