1940 Roadblocks on the E side of the bridge over the River Medway at Maidstone. At least 5 x large anti-tank cylinders with conical tops. There was a further block at the other end of the bridge of at least 4 x cylindrical blocks with horizontal rail mountings additionally. The parapet of the bridge was removed, on the E side. (seen on contemporary photographs - attached. Site confirmed, with additional details, by Anthony Webb).
