17/03/1999 Anti tank wall built to stop the enemy advancing from Porthcothnan beach. It was built across the main exit from the beach on to the adjoining road. The wall was attached to the existing road bridge at one end, and about ten yards of the wall can still be seen. Part has been demolished to allow access to beach. It is constructed of concrete blocks with a concrete infill, and is 4ft wide by 5ft in height. It is located on the N side of the beach.
