17/03/1999 This is one of two concrete defensive walls built on the cliff tops either side of a sunken track leading from Mother Iveys Bay beach. The wall is curved to follow the shape of the coastline, 20 yards long, and is 3ft in height and 3ft in width. Built from concrete blocks and infilled concrete it would have protected defending troops. The wall was designed as defensive shelter for infantry and is not an anti-tank wall as such, being at the top of cliffs.
