The Bunker Complex Ungerberg is a Cold War-era military fortification located in Austria, designed to withstand prolonged attacks. The bunker features a concrete layer encasing it that is two and a half metres thick, demonstrating the extensive defensive measures taken during this period. Inside, the bunker contains a telephone exchange, a medical room, and even a niche for coffins, indicating its comprehensive design for sustained operations.
A decommissioned howitzer, still in working order due to careful maintenance, is also present at the site. The Museum of Military History has preserved this complex as a testament to Austria's defensive strategies during the Cold War.
