Description

15/06/2000 Spigot mortar base standing almost upright in the sand, a few yards above normal high water mark and very close to (UORN 9101). Recorder reports that last year this pedestal was not visible and must have been revealed by a change in the shape of the beach caused by wave action. 29/07/2002 Spigot mortar pedestal on the beach, revealed at low tide. Presumably it has fallen from a previous position at the edge of the sand dunes, but still stands upright.
