Movik Fort is a historic German coastal fortification located near Bergen, Norway, overlooking the Skagerrak Straits. Constructed during World War II by German forces, the fort once housed the second largest cannon in the world—a massive Krupp 380mm gun with a range of up to 55 kilometers (35 miles) and weighing 337 tonnes. This formidable coastal battery was part of the Atlantic Wall defenses and played a strategic role in controlling access to the North Sea.
Today, the site stands as a testament to Norway's wartime history and the enduring legacy of military engineering from the WWII era.
