Movik Fort is a historic German coastal fortification located near Bergen, Norway, overlooking the Skagerrak Straits. Constructed during World War II by German forces, the fort once housed the second largest cannon in the world—a massive Krupp 380mm artillery piece with a range of up to 55 kilometers (35 miles) and weighing 337 tonnes. The strategic location allowed German forces to control maritime traffic between Norway and Denmark.
After the war, the site was repurposed for civilian use, including conversion into a bomb shelter, before being closed to the public due to safety concerns.
