26/03/1999 Centre of resistance established at above village with barrel flame trap. It is likely the canal bridge was obstructed with steel rails. No contemporary information on obstructions found, although reference refers to asparagus beds (vertical steel rails) being erected on canal bridges at some stage of the war.
