11/1996 Type of pillbox not known. It has been DEMOLISHED. The pillbox formed part of a defensive ring of pillboxes to the W of Falmouth, designed to protect the port from a landward attack. The pillbox was sited approximately in the centre of the modern road, as the old lane has been re-routed.
